The NVBDC was founded in 2013 when Keith King recognized the need for a Veteran business certification organization that could offer best practices in certification. Corporations often demand certification, and many no longer accept self-certification. Significantly, since Veteran Supplier Diversity is an $80-billion-dollar market in the United States, it’s crucial to have a certification agency that represents the gold standard in certification which NVBDC fulfills. NVBDC continually works with its corporate members and valued SD/VOBs to provide opportunity and access to diverse supply chains.
The NVBDC is the only Veteran Owned Business Certification organization developed by Veterans, for Veterans. The purpose is to provide a credible and reliable certifying authority for all size businesses ensuring that valid documentation exists of Veteran ownership and control.
